Happy Friday, Friends! Today we’re back to feeling Merry & Bright – especially since we now have fluffy white snow falling. It’s the perfect setting for a snowy little vintage forest.

These trees, the candle holders, the candles, and even the tray they’re sitting on were all purchased at estate sales over time. I love the color combinations of vintage ornaments – often pinks and teals and other pastels – and this little forest is the perfect complement to those ornaments. Not that we’ve decorated our actual tree yet. We haven’t. These things must go in stages, apparently.

The above photo shows what the trees looked like when I brought them home – they didn’t all match and some of them had unsightly tan or brown bases. *gasp*

A coat of white spray paint later, they now have matching snow piles at the base.

Probably my favorite thing about this whole little arrangement is that it is portable. It is kept out of sight and out of mind every time there is a 3-year-old present, if you know what I mean. Shiny things are just way too alluring, and these things are coated in sparkly glitter. So far this little forest has found a home on our dining room table as a centerpiece, on the coffee table in the living room (as pictured), and even in our bedroom on a dresser. Hooray for versatility!

I have eventual plans to paint thin white stripes horizontally across this serving tray to “jazz it up a bit” but I’m loving it just how it is for the little forest.

What about you, do you have any miniature Christmas collections? I haven’t fallen prey to the “village” yet but I guess you never know the future..

I hopped onto Pinterest to look for miniatures in pretty vignettes and was thrilled to find these bottle brush trees! Look at all of these gorgeous colors.

I love the mid-century clock in the background on the next one, almost looks like a snowflake. Cute!

Don’t you think one of those little creatures below would be cute wandering through the forest?
