haven’t asked, I thought today might be a good day to share about what I’d like to see at ArtPrize next year. Every time I see photos around the web of using plants in outdoor large-scale art, I am totally hooked. These exhibits are big, showy, and alive, which would be sure to draw attention during ArtPrize (if you ask me. And I’m pretending you did)..
Check out this wall below, on a Vancouver library.
I love this detail shot too – there are so many different types of texture & color. The closer you look the more interesting it becomes, which is always a good thing, is it not?
There are more photos of this wall, so click the source under the photos if you’d like to see them.
The next photos are from a living wall that is based on a painting – a modern twist on a traditional and known piece of art. Hello, ArtPrize!
So get a good look at this Van Gogh painting, “A Wheatfield, with Cypresses”..
And here’s the wall!
This is at the National Gallery of London, and if you’re going to be in the area any time before the end of this month, please go. And take photos. And frankly, my travel schedule is pretty open this month. Just saying..
Love. Love love love. It was hard to find good images to share with you, so if this really rings your bell check out this site for more professional shots.
Finally, here’s a weird one for you.. Bringing the outdoors indoor. Chicago’s L Train got a very green makeover for one afternoon last month.
Apparently the options are endless. So, ArtPrize, I’ll be waiting. *wink*
