Oh, Friends, I almost forgot to do this post today! I don’t know about you but we’ve got some of the best weather you could imagine going on here. We’ll be busy bees this weekend, enjoying the sun and celebrating another special birthday every time we turn around. So fun!
By the way, do you agree with this quote below? It sure is pretty.. But I don’t know if I agree. I guess it depends on what you call “adventure”. What do you think?
I think it’s time for a little springtime adventure inspiration!
These poppies. Oh my word. I think I need them. Neeeeeeeeeeeed.
And I’m sorry if “macrame” is a bad word in your world, but I am just falling more in love with it all the time! Look how pretty this ombre plant holder is! It’s official. I need to learn how to make these.
This is admittedly weird, but prepare to be addicted – Cornell University has a live webcam going on their titan arum (Amorphophallus titanum) - “corpse flower” which is about to bloom. This bizarre flower is almost as tall as a person, and when it opens in bloom, well, its nickname makes a lot more sense. After a google images search on them, I found several photos of people plugging their noses. Kinda funny, huh?
Anyway, check out the live webcam and some photos of this blooming event here!
Also, are you planting anything today? Me too! And after I read this article, my “to plant and stick on the windowsill” list just got even longer.
No time to sit back, sip my coffee, and ignore the sunshine today, Friends! I’m off and running to the garden!
Happy weekend! It feels so good to be home with the windows open. This is the life!
♥

[Today's comment from me landed on yesterday's post....almost like jet lag!! Sorry.]
PS. How can you disagree with anything Helen Keller wrote? However, I don’t like the last part of the quote; it seems so empty. The first half is very positive. I learned from your mom how to remake almost any situation an adventure!
I would like to write Happy Birthday the way Winnie the Pooh did, but I can’t remember how he misspelled it!
Linda, even being 60 can be full of adventure, and don’t you forget it!
That’s exactly what I didn’t like about it either! Such options! All or nothing. Helen didn’t leave us any room in the middle for being content with where we are.
We opened our windows this weekend too, so nice! And no, macrame is NOT a bad word. Very cool.
Haha! Isn’t it just the best thing ever to have windows open in March?! I’ve literally been waking up to birds singing. Although in reality it isn’t much like Cinderella.. But still. Awesome.
I’ve saved that Spring page layout as well. I just love the mix of drawings with real items.
P.S. I haven’t been here in awhile. I love what you did with your WordPress template. Looks really nice!!
Hi Sam! Yeah it has been a while, huh?
Glad you like the layout – I was just in the mood for something fresh & different, you know?
And the mix of drawings & flowers – sooo beautiful! I think I have a few more in the “botanical illustrations” board on my pinterest. I should probably go stare at them for a while right now, actually.. They’re so pretty they deserve some stare time!
